For Faith Van Schaik, RN-BSN '16, the academic journey has been worth every step. "I have finally earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree," she noted. "I love patient care and enjoy interacting with, and helping people and my career has allowed me to develop my interpersonal and customer service skills. I currently work in a cardiac step-down unit and have been a staff nurse for eight years. I served three and a half years in the U.S. Air Force, where I gained exposure and knowledge from working with people from diverse cultures and all walks of life. Thomas Edison State University's online program helped make it possible for me to achieve my goal while enabling me to continue working to help support my family. Pursuing my degree has also helped me to be a role model for my children by showing them that they should continue to pursue their goals and dreams regardless of age or personal circumstances."
