Lisa Alexander, BA '18

"I made the decision to return to college at the age of 53 after raising four amazing children," said Lisa Alexander a 2018 BA degree in Communications graduate who is also an account manager at United Parcel Service (UPS). "The time just never seemed right while I was raising my children and managing a full time career to return for my degree. UPS and TESU helped me to realize my lifelong dream and I am now a first generation college graduate in my family. I know that if my parents were alive, they would both be immensely proud of this accomplishment. You can take advantage of whatever Thomas Edison State University flexible course delivery options best fit your learning style.

Through prior learning assessment (PLA), you may be able to earn credit for college-level knowledge you already possess. Take the online PLA Self-Assessment to find out if you're a candidate for PLA.

Did you know that TESU's undergraduate terms begin every month? Unlike most colleges and universities, our courses are available throughout the year. That means you have the opportunity to begin a new term 12 times per year.

Wondering what could possibly be better than finally earning your bachelor's degree? We have the answer: Earning 12 credits toward your master's degree at the same time. TESU's Bachelor's to Master's Program allows you to earn up to 12 graduate-level credits that can be applied to both your bachelor's and master's degree programs at the undergraduate tuition rate. You may be closer to a master's degree than you realize, schedule an appointment with your academic advisor today to learn more.

New Capstone Requirement: Students enrolled in bachelor's degree programs at TESU will now need to complete a minimum of 100 credits in their respective academic program before registering for a Capstone course at the University. In addition, students wishing to register in a Capstone course must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher before they can do so. Students are also required to complete their Capstone course through TESU. The policy is designed to ensure that students are appropriately prepared to be successful in their Capstone endeavors.
